Our story
A candle is a small ritual.
Lighting one is a way of saying the day has changed — that work is done, that someone is coming over, that this hour is yours. We started east & ember because we wanted candles that honored that moment without shouting over it.
So we kept everything simple. A soft coconut apricot wax. A clean cotton wick. A heavy, matte vessel that feels good in the hand and looks at home on a shelf long after the candle is gone. Scents built around a feeling rather than a gimmick.
Every candle is poured by hand, a few at a time. It is slower. We think you can tell.
How we make them
Thoughtful design

The wax
A coconut apricot blend — creamy, slow-burning and generous with fragrance. It gives an even melt and a clean, steady burn.
The wick
Cotton, sized for the vessel, for a calm flame and a full melt pool when you give the first burn the time it needs.
The vessel
A 14 oz Heavy Rocks tumbler in a matte stone finish, holding 11 oz of wax. Wash it out and keep it — it was made to last.
The strength
You choose the fragrance load. A softer throw for bedrooms and small spaces, a stronger one for open rooms.
